Chamara Janaraj Peiris is a renowned Sri Lankan filmmaker, screenwriter, and journalist whose creative journey spans over three decades. Educated at Royal College, Colombo, and trained in Architecture and Landscape Design, his diverse background enriches his distinctive visual storytelling style.
Celebrated for acclaimed works such as Ayal, Piyavi, Yaya 4, Batahira Ahasa, and Uthuru Sulanga, Chamara has earned multiple awards for directing and writing. As the Creative Director of Pix and Words (Pvt) Ltd., he continues to craft stories that inspire and reflect the essence of Sri Lankan life.
